THE INCREASED NUMBER OF VETERAN SUICIDES ?
I believe the reason is a natural reluctance of many people to avoid becoming an object of scorn by the field of modern psychology... that has handed out a license to engage in therapy to a large number of people over the last couple decades... and many of these people are well intentioned individuals, but they were not NOT REALLY PROPERLY TRAINED to deal with the MIND!
Let me ask a question. And this question needs to be asked of everyone who is licensed in America!
What is the MIND? Sounds like a simple question, right? But you would be amazed at how many in the field of mental health today have no idea what the MIND is? Or how it works? Or why it works?
Your brain is a very useful muscle located in your skull. But it is not in charge of what you think, or what you do. It is your MIND that is in charge of all you do. Your MIND is responsible for making sure that every thing you do is in accordance with your Fate Karma that you came into this world to address. And this means that whether or not you believe in Reincarnation, it is a fact. And if you are a human being, then you have had a great many lifetimes. There is a great deal of personal "work" before one becomes a competent Gestalt Psychotherapist.
The role of a Psychotherapist is a very important role to play, and it requires a substantial amount of work to acquire the level of Consciousness required by those capable of providing the help some people require. ... And what I am talking about is... a bit difficult to explain. All of us, and I mean everyone on Earth, is on a path of evolution of one's Soul. But what I am speaking about just now is not part of what most people are taught. That is, what is the purpose of life? It is naturally to experience the Creation, since that is what we are doing. But, is that all we are doing? I believe we are doing a great deal more than what we can "think" about. Each of us has a Soul, which is the only part of oneself that is Real.
And one's Soul is the only part of oneself that transfers from life-form to life-form. And it is like we are all on a giant ladder, and each of us is slowly rising on that ladder depending upon what we do in life?
And oddly, those who realize this climbing up the ladder have climbed up sufficiently to where they are slowly awakening to being on this ladder. Something I learned when I experienced my own Gestalt psychotherapy is that there is a great deal more to myself that I would or could have imagined without having experienced my therapy. That is when I awakened to the multiple dimensions of myself, and how much of myself was unknown to me cognitively? In my sketch, for most people, the most they are aware of is circle #1, the physical dimension.
But this leaves #2, #3, and #4 for us to discover...which we will, in time. The way in which one's Soul "takes back" the Consciousness [or NSgy, Neutral Spiritual Energy, of one's Soul] is by Accepting full responsibility for the Karma one is going through in this lifetime. That is, assuming responsibility for all the Karma one encounters every day of one's life.
So, all of what I just alluded to above is what a really competent Gestalt Psychotherapist needs to be aware of if... he or she is to provide the help a person needs. Again, the work of a Gestalt Psychotherapist is no small thing. If done properly, and effectively, a client is helped to re-visit emotionally difficult events of early childhood... that his or her MIND has locked away in a place the brain will never know. And if the therapist [having accepted his or her own painful memories] is up to the task, the person being helped will be able to awaken emotionally to the darkest kind of repressed memories, which like a dark cloud.... simply evaporate via the release of years of emotional pain and suffering... and the client awakens to the "misperceptions" his or her MIND has used to "punish" him or her. All of this based on the way a person's MIND put the person through "paying" for past Karma.
If you are unfamiliar with what I have just shared... you have not needed to address such repressed trauma hidden within your own MIND. Be thankful.
Everyone has a "Fate Karma" that he or she is going through in life. It isn't important to know what one's Fate Karma is, it is only important to realize when one needs help going through one's Fate Karma. In other words, there are more important things in life than what we can think about.
In the West, we have developed a great many useful things... that tempt us continually. But we, America has... fallen behind in addressing the needs of some citizens. Our progress in developing "things" is amazing... but in our rush to develop things, we have neglected the psychological needs of many of our citizens. And the psychology of Man includes a Spiritual component that is particularly active in some of our citizens. And remember, the Spiritual in Man is most often invisible.
And that is perhaps enough for this blog...
