ABOUT "PSYCHEDUCATION"... Or... [Education of the Psyche]] An idea created by James W. Patterson, PhD, in the 1980's.

The reason I am doing this particular blog is to differentiate between my "Psycheducation," which was introduced in the 1980's, and  what is advertised today as "Psychoeducation".   Other than not having an "O" tacked onto the term Psychoeducation,  my term Psycheducation was a combining of the term "Psyche" by the Ancient Greeks (... which, for them, referred to the "Self, Soul, and MIND" "Within" Man). The ancient Greeks used the term "Psyche" to include  three  "Esoteric" aspects of the Whole Human Being.  Let us begin with two definitions from Webster's New Dictionary:

1.  Esoteric:  adj  1..Intended for or understood by only a small group. 2. Confidential; private.

2. psyche:  n. 1. The Soul or spirit as distinguished from the body. 2. The mind functioning as the center of thought, feeling, and behavior.  [Gk psukhe, breath, life, soul.]

My point? My primary point is that the Ancient Greeks differentiated between the physical person and the Esoteric [invisible] dimensions that exist and operate "Within" the whole human being. What is not usually emphasized in dictionaries is the fact that the Esoteric dimensions of Man consist of energies that are INVISIBLE to the brain and one's physical senses.  My sketch of this looks like this:

Note that #1 represents the physical realms of existence, and it includes the physical  brain. #2, #3, and #4 are all invisible to the brain and one's physical senses... except that one can experience one's emotions, which are caused by one's MIND realm [#2 and #3].   One's brain is also subject to receiving what I refer to as "Delusional Thinking" or "D-Think"...which are thoughts fed to one's brain by one's MIND which is the "Source of... or the psychological "causal" behind...  many  of one's thoughts, desires, habit patterns, and one's "feelings".

In other words, the MIND uses Delusional Thinking [or thoughts fed to one's brain] to cause one's brain to think about, react to, and engage in most of what one does and thinks.  And we tend to blame others for what we "THINK" causes us to react to life.  What is actually responsible is D-Think being fed to our brains by our MINDs.  And... what is behind all of this is what Mystics refer to as One's Fate Karma.  And each of us is born with a FATE KARMA that is based on various bits of Karma we created in in one or more of our many past lifetimes... and few people in the West believe in the Law of Karma, or in "Reincarnation," or the fact that one's Soul does not die when one's body dies, but is re-incarnated into another body in which to continue dealing with one's store of Karma.

In other words, my use of the term Psycheducation combined the Esoteric dimensions of Man and those parts of Man that the brain "thinks" it knows by simply knowing the names of these Esoteric elements of Man that are taught in education... which  (in the West in particular) is pretty much confined to what the brain can "THINK ABOUT".  The names of Esoteric elements [MIND, SELF, SOUL] do not tell us what these elements are!  Or how they work, or what to do about them?

In other words... there is a great deal more to the Reality of Psychology than what psychology today teaches or deals with!

In the early 1930's, many in the field of "Psychology" were intellectually [and quite likely without realizing it]... attempting  to confine the study of "psychology" to the brain, behavior, and thinking.

They created the idea:  Behavioral [physical phenomena] with the term psychology [a study of the Self, Soul, and MIND... all invisible to the physical brain] ... which created an oxy-moron:

ox-y-moron n,pl -mora . A rhetorical figure in which an epigrammatic effect is created by a paradoxical conjunction of terms

In other words, combining Psychology [a study of the Self, Soul, and MIND ] with the word Behavioral, which is entirely focused on the physical operations of Man... and thinking by use of one's brain... being fed subtle thoughts [or D-Think] by one's MIND.

That is,  I refer to modern psychology  as "BS&doR", which stands for "Behavioral Science and denial of Reality". Man is much more than what we can "think" about!  What is needed for such inquiry is  an advanced level of "Intuition"... a part of one's Consciousness.  Or, a person who is "Enlightened".

I will continue this discussion in an up-coming blog.  I hope you find this interesting?

Is Education in America declining due to the denial of God and an over emphasis on Intellectualism and the Physical dimension of Man?

In other words... what we can think about using our brains.... most often equals the Illusion of Life...

BECAUSE...

TRUTH IS AN HONEST VIEWING OF REALITY, WHICH IS THE  PART OF EXISTENCE THAT IS INVISIBLE TO THE PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF MAN.  THIS EARTH, FOR INSTANCE, IS A MOST ELABORATE ILLUSION...that Man "thinks" is real... and we believe this because what we have available to us for judging Reality and Illusion are our physical senses... [ which are all  composed of the energy of the Illusion]. We are not taught that three-quarters of Man are invisible to our physical senses!

Number 1 in this sketch represents the physical dimension of Man. And that means that #2, #3, and #4 are all INVISIBLE to our physical senses.  What can perceive #2, #3, and #4 is a faculty of Man known as "Intuition"... which is an aspect of one's Soul.

In fact... Intuition is a part of one's "Consciousness" that is the natural result of one's Soul re-acquiring it's Spiritual Energy ... which has been used by one's MIND to create elements of Life for itself as part of the "purpose" of Life.  The "process" of "re-acquiring" one's Spiritual Energy is a "Mystical" process that is largely unknown in the West.   The principle parts of this re-aquiring process are covered by the terms FORGIVENESS AND ACCEPTANCE.   And the whole 'process" is called "Karma".  And Karma is the term that stands for the dissociated bits of Spiritual Energy that a Soul uses to experience and explore the Creation.  Alas, we are not taught about this "process" in the West.

A symbol of how man looks at the Creation might look like this:

The thing is... the Creation is meant to be as it is.  It is Man that has forgotten who and what Man is?

WHAT ARE THE TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF PEOPLE ?

The two types of people is determined by  the level of "Consciousness" an individual's Soul has acquired? That is, each Soul on Earth is subject to the Law of Karma, and each of us is living a life that has been determined by the Fate Karma each of us has acquired... over many lifetimes on this Earth.   The two types of people therefore can be divided into the following two basic types of people:

Those who are very intellectual tend to "think" their way through life, and they also tend to ignore, avoid, and discount their emotions. The definition of intellectual is 1.a. Of the intellect, b.Rational. 2. Appearing to or engaging in the intellect.   This is from Webster's New Dictionary and Roget's Thesaurus.

Rarely mentioned is the fact that people who are "rational" tend to avoid their emotions.  At this point, let us stress that the "energy" of the MIND is emotional energy.   And intellectualism avoids emotionalism. And what drives most habits that people have... that they would rather not have?  It is the way in which such people "vent" their emotions in a way that doesn't seem emotional.  But since most people in psychology today have not undergone their own psychotherapy...[to discover the repressed emotions behind their habit patterns], the entire field of psychology today lacks this crucial facet of therapy.  It simply is not possible to intellectually discover deeply repressed bits of trauma hidden "within" the MIND by use of one's brain and intellectual dialogue.  Repressed trauma is emotional energy!  This means  it is neither rational nor is it part of the "conscious awareness" of the person "within" whom it exists. Consciousness requires "Intuition"...which is Spiritual Energy.

This is what Fritz Perls instinctively knew Intuitively via his level of Intuition,   but he was unable to "intellectually" convey his natural ability to use his Intuition in words that others could comprehend... because the energy of Intuition is a form of Consciousness that one possesses [or one does not], but it cannot be acquired by use of the brain  and thinking.

I have mentioned the fact that "Consciousness" is, I believe, the Energy of the Soul, and is therefore, invisible to the brain and one's physical senses.  And what we refer to as "Intuition" is an aspect of one's Spiritual Energy, or Soul.  So, the more Intuitive a person is, the more access to his or her Conscious Awareness that person has.

Day 2, How many people realize they actually fear the MIND their brains are unable to locate "within" themselves?

Of course.... we have no conscious awareness that we have a fear of what is contained "within" each of our  MINDs.  And the reason we do not ordinarily "know" this is that #2, #3, and #4 are all invisible to the brain and our physical senses.

But we do (unknowingly) have this fear.  And allow me to try and explain this bit of Truth.

Let us begin by looking once again at this sketch... of the Whole of Man.

The only part of the sketch that your brain can relate to to is #1, the Physical Dimension of Man. All the rest of the sketch: #2, #3, and #4 are all invisible to the brain.  So, at the core of our problem as human beings is the fact that at least three-quarters of the WHOLE of ourselves are "Invisible" to the brain and one's physical senses.  And this "fact" applies to every human being... with the only exception being that person who has awakened a certain level of "Intuition" [which is, once again, an aspect of of his or her state of Consciousness [which is represented in the sketch by #4, or one's Spiritual Energy [one's Soul].

So, everyone has a non-conscious fear of his or her MIND.  More specifically, of what is hidden or repressed "within" his or her MIND.  And this fear has developed over who knows how many lifetimes?

Problem is... Only people in the East [and not everyone in the East] is even aware of the term Reincarnation, which refers to the fact that the body one is in presently is subject to death.  And each of us has been many different life-forms.  The fact is,  one's Soul is immortal... which means we Souls do not die... since one's Soul is the only part of oneself that is actually Real!  Look at the sketch again.

#2, #3, and #4 are all INVISIBLE to one's brain and physical senses.   Again, the only part of oneself that can perceive what I refer to as "NSgy," or Neutral Spiritual Energy [which is my label for the Energy of God, and the Energy of we Souls] is one's Soul being true to itself.  That is, Loving itself.

Over the countless generations of one's Soul living in numerous life-forms on Earth, we Souls have experienced a great many things..., all of which has been negative... in that any amount of the Illusion of Life is just that:  ILLUSION.  That is, the reason a Soul must rely upon a Master, or a Saint to help it  escape from the Illusion is that everything of the Creation is a part of the ILLUSION!

In other words, one is fooling oneself if one thinks one can return to God all by one's Self.  Anything you THINK is part of the Illusion of life.  So, to counter the MIND and it's job of keeping your Soul stuck in the Illusion... one must focus on something that is not part of the Illusion of life.  What is not part of the Illusion is the Spirit or Reality active in a Perfect Living Master... [PLM], and if one has been "Initiated" into a Spiritual Path by a PLM ... then that PLM will be working [inside of oneself] to eliminate one's store of Karma that one's MIND has attached one's Soul to by everything the MIND does in this world.  This is the REALITY that every Soul must face... at some point in one's life.

Why should we encourage people who are "naturally" more "Spiritually Enlightened" to enter the field of Psychology [while suggesting those who are more given to "Intellectualism"choose another profession"]?

My answer is... Because the field of Psychology SHOULD FOCUS ON THE MIND OF MAN... and the MIND is "invisible" to the brain and one's physical senses!  The brain "thinks" what the MIND wants the brain to think!  I refer to such thinking as "D-Think"... which stands for "Delusional Thinking".

And... B.F. Skinner was quite wrong when he dismissed the MIND entirely!

Skinner was stuck in Intellectualism, and should never have been involved in Psychology.

WHAT YOU NEED TO "KNOW"...and perhaps do not?

Source of the following definitions:  Webster's New Dictionary:

1. Definition of Psychiatry:

The medical study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental illness.

2. Definition of Psychology:

The science of mental processes and behavior.

3. Definition of Science:

[1.The observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of natural phenomena....] (did I just read "theoretical"?

What is the difference between to "know," as in... "I Think that is true,'" and I "Know"... that is a bit of Truth that I have experienced from "Within" myself as an ABSOLUTE TRUTH? To think something is true is possible... but this does not mean that what one thinks is  true is an Absolute sense.  A peculiar thing about Absolute Truth is that no one can KNOW this Truth for someone else... nor can one convey this Truth to someone else.  And yet, it is quite possible for more than one person to suddenly awaken to some bit of Absolute Truth at the same time.  But neither of these people will be able to share with another person what he or she has suddenly awakened to from "Within" him or herself.

So, how does one acquire an Absolute bit of Truth?  The only part of oneself that can acquire an Absolute Truth [something that is permanent and never changes] is one's Soul, or what we refer to as the term "Consciousness"... and Consciousness is another terms for the Spiritual Energy of one's Soul.

So, if you suddenly awaken to a bit of KNOWLEDGE or TRUTH from "Within" yourself... what has awakened to this bit of Absolute Truth is what we refer to  as "Intuition" [which is an aspect of one's Consciousness], or the Energy of one's Soul.

[and what I just explained is a rare thing  for a person to experience... however it does occur].

But, since Intuition operates in an energy dimension that the brain will never experience, the field of science does not usually include it as other than "speculation" because Intuition cannot be physically verified to exist... since Intuition is the Energy of your Soul, and it ONLY exists in it's own realm of Spiritual Energy "Within"you.  I illustrate this in the following sketch:

#1 is the physical dimension of  Man.  #2, and #3 are both dimensions of the MIND.  And #4 is your Spiritual Energy we normally refer to as the Soul, or Consciousness.

When a person is "ready" to awaken to a new bit of Truth, he or she will Intuit it, but he or she will not be able to share this  bit of Truth with anyone else... other than someone who has also awakened to this same bit of Truth... in which case, each will KNOW what the other KNOWS Intuitively, but neither will be able to share this bit of Truth verbally.  I once taught a college class in which about half of the students awakened to bits of Truth, while the other half had no idea what was going on?

To think one is correct is intellectual speculation.  It takes place within one's brain and it is called "thinking".   Whereas to "KNOW" one is correct [comes only from experiencing the Truth of something from "within"  oneself via one's Intuition]... which one Knows one Knows... but one is unable to share what one now Knows with others who have not Intuited the same  bit of Truth.  And no, this concept is not an easy thing to accept, nor to understand.

More bits of Truths will be shared on this blog shortly.

My Book "THE THIRD STEP" [was written in 1983], and I was 48 years of age. My book was about seeking the "Esoteric Secrets" of Psychology.

Thus, my book was hopeful.  Today, some 42 years later... I finally know what those "secrets" are...  No wonder they were so difficult to find!  They are invisible to us.

And, so, it is not surprising that the field of Psychology has failed to find those "Secrets"?

And I believe this series of blogs [The Whole of Man] will surprise you!

Let us begin with a logo, of sorts...

What we see in life is an Illusion we think is real.  The Physical Dimension is an Illusion, including the brain [operated and conditioned by one's MIND].

What is Real in life is invisible to us. This means the MIND, and the Soul in Man.

So, of course elements like the MIND, and one's Soul are both invisible to our physical senses, which means the brain and what our physical senses can perceive... which are the physical dimensions of Man.

I did this sketch some time ago to illustrate what I just said above:  It illustrates the Whole of Man.

#1 is the physical dimension we can think about.

#2, #3, and #4 are all Invisible to #1.  #4 is REALITY.

#1 is blocked by #2, and #3, the MIND.

About Psychology?   Well it was taken over by Intellectualism and Behaviorism in the early 1930's, and both of these are limited to the brain and thinking. [Behavioral Psychology].

A very good book that discusses all of this in detail is "The Path of the Masters," by Julian Johnson.

And this is blog #1 in this series.

A SPECIAL TYPE OF HUMAN BEING...

Something I have noticed about Mystics...  They do not exaggerate.  Although what they are saying often strikes people as improbable.

Or phrased differently, what they are proposing is quite beyond what most people can imagine... so, to avoid appearing uninformed, people simply remain quiet.

The fact is... what Mystics are saying speaks to a Reality that is physically impossible to achieve and is therefore ignored due to a lack of knowledge on the part of normal people.

If you were a mystic, how would you express that which is impossible to achieve physically... because it has to do with invisible realms which are unknown to normal people?

Mystics focus on end desires and skip the means of achieving them... because those listening to them are unaware of the "invisible" means of achieving those desires that are known only to those Mystics. In what way is the "Holy Ghost" different from an ordinary ghost, by the way?

Happy Saint Patrick's Day, 1 Brother James.

JOHN 9:39

JESUS IS QUOTED:

For judgement I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind

Is this confusing to you?  The reason it is confusing is that it involves the Pure Spiritual Energy within every human being.  I refer to this Pure Spiritual Energy as "Neutral Spiritual Energy," and my symbol for this is"NSgy".  This is also the Energy of one's Soul.

Therefore what we refer to as "Consciousness" is, I  believe, the Energy of one's Soul... whose physical operations are obvious to Man: however,  we have no idea what Consciousness is, or how it  works? And NSgy is invisible to the physical senses of Man.  And the reason is that NSgy [as an Energy] is INVISIBLE to Man... because as NSgy... it does not exist in the Creation  except as some form of energy other than NSgy.  My sketch for this is:
#1 is the physical dimension.  #2 and #3 are two dimensions of the MIND. and #4 is NSgy.

What Christ is quoted as saying is the only thing he could say using words Man can understand.  However, what Christ was actually talking about is beyond what Man is capable of understanding due to the fact that the physical senses of Man are incapable of experiencing what Christ was talking about doing!   The Energy of NSgy cannot be perceived by human perception.

The "key" is the term "Neutral".   The "N" in NSgy.  What do you  know that is "Neutral"? That is, what do you know that never changes?  I only know of one thing, and that is God, and one's Soul, which is an Aspect of God.   God is Truth, and God is Reality.  And God is permanent and does not change.  And God is also invisible to one's physical senses.

The Creation was CREATED!  It did not exist prior to being CREATED BY GOD.

Try to contemplate on this fact just a bit.  What do you know that never changes?

The only people capable of "understanding" what lies "hidden" in what Christ is quoted as saying are people who are somewhat advanced in attempting to "reclaim" the NSgy of their own Soul via specialized meditation.     And Christ knew this.  And the Soul of Christ was sent into the physical Creation to be born as a human being... specifically to gather to himself those people whose Souls were "marked" by God for "Initiation"?  What is "Initiation"?

"Initiation" is a mystical process of awakening a person's Soul by a Perfect Living Master, such as Jesus Christ.  And every Soul that has been Initiated by a Perfect Living Master has been Initiated because that Soul has been marked by God.  And who is to question God in this process that God designed?

Do you  find the above difficult to believe?  Most people in the  West resist what I have shared with the reader in this blog.  But, it is true nonetheless.  There are a great many Souls currently engaged in the meditation I have briefly described.  It is called Sant Mat... if you would like to do more research?

WHAT IS "TRUTH"?

TRUTH, along with Reality, only exists in the Pure Spiritual Dimension, which we refer to as God.  I refer to it as NSgy, which stands for Neutral Spiritual Energy, which I believe is the Energy of God, and the Energy of we Souls, who are aspects or children of God.

So, what is TRUTH?

Truth is Pure Spiritual Energy or NSgy [Neutral Spiritual Energy], which is the Energy of God... and NSgy is the Energy of we Souls that we have forgotten over the very long period of time we have been in the  Physical Creation.

Neutral Spiritual Energy, or NSgy, is the Energy of God, and our Souls... but, we Souls have forgotten who and what we are, and the Fact that this Earth is not our Home.  It is easy to forget who and what we are because to us, who and what we are is INVISIBLE. At least to our physical senses.  So, although we know the term "Soul," we do not remember that is who and what we are?

So, I came up with the symbol "NSgy" a few years ago... but I did not have the understanding [at the time] as to what the symbol actually meant until this year . NSgy means Neutral Spiritual Energy, and the "key" is the term "Neutral".  We cannot find the Soul because NSgy is invisible to us and what our physical senses can perceive.  NSgy stands for Pure Spiritual Energy, and the "N" stands for Neutral.

It occurred to me many years ago that God was neither good nor bad.  And that left "Neutral". So, the symbol NSgy stands for Neutral Spiritual Energy... and that means that Truth is also Neutral, or Real in an Absolute Sense.  Thus anything that is not NSgy is less than Spiritual... and that is what the Creation is.  Seemingly Real, but not Absolutely Real.  Truth is an Absolute, and it does not change.  Things that change cannot be Real, in other words.  So, as strange as it may appear to us, what we think of as real in this Illusion of Creation is not Real, or the Truth in an absolute sense.  And we just ignore this fact as we go along pretending that what seems "not good" on this Earth is merely our inability to accept it.

Your Soul is Real, and it is also NSgy, and it is really out of place in the Creation... but, as I say, we tend to accept that what's wrong is ourselves, not what we see taking place in the Creation.

Your Soul is Real, in an Absolute sense... just like Truth, Reality, and God. The problem is, your physical senses are unable to perceive the Reality or NSgy... which is Absolute and never changes. A bit over 50 years ago, I came across a Perfect Living Master, and I was "Initiated".  And over the years, I have tried my best to do what I said I would do... which  is do my daily meditation and spend most of my energy in attempting to discover NSgy hidden "within" myself.  I must admit I never missed a day of meditation, however... my meditation was far less than what it could have been!

Today, I am trying to make up for much lost time.  And this blog is my attempt to suggest to others that a wise person will seek God... WITHIN oneself.  And begin by considering this Creation as a testing ground for we Souls.  And no Soul can do it alone.  So, a search for a Perfect Living Master is a wise thing to do... if one is so inclined?

Peace, 1 Brother James

REGARDING "KARMA"...

How your MIND stores and uses Karma in your relationship to your "Fate Karma" for this lifetime is the concept of this blog.

Let us recall what Karma is.  Karma is the term for every action we take in the Creation.  Remember that Karma is defined best in this definition of Karma:  "As you Sow, so shall you Reap!"

In other words, the Law of Karma is such that your MIND is charged with storing every action you take in life [whether positive or negative]. And, every negative action you take "will" be taken against you in one of your lifetimes... It is one's own actions that are combined to form one's "Fate Karma" for this lifetime.

Unfortunately, when some negative bit of Karma is scheduled to come back to oneself in some lifetime... we have no memory of it in this lifetime... so, most often we view what is happening as something one or more people is/are doing to us!  We view ourselves as a victim, in other words.  We "blame" another or others for what happens "to us".

Mystics tell  us that in each lifetime we create much more Karma than  we can "pay-off" in that lifetime.  So, until a person "learns" how to reduce the store of Kama "within" his or her MIND, he or she continues to increase the store of Karma in his or her MIND.

The PROBLEM IS... What keeps we Souls stuck on this Earth is the store of Karma held "within"one's MIND.  Each Soul must clear the  store of Karma hidden within his or her MIND... before his or her Soul can go  back Home to God.

I suspect you may not have known this?  But now you do, so what do you do about it?  You hopefully begin to recognize all negative Karma you experience as "your own negative Karma coming back to you... and you begin to FORGIVE AND ACCEPT rather than blame.  Not an easy thing to do, by the way.

Peace, 1 Brother James

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU BEEN "OLD"?  I bet you don't know!

Or, if one's Soul does not die... and one's physical body does die... what about one's MIND?  Your MIND is neither Spiritual like one's Soul, nor physical like one's brain?

One's brain is physical and located in one's skull.      However, one's Spiritual Energy it is not visible to any part of oneself except for the "Attention Aspect" of one's Soul... which is not actually part of the Physical Plane of Creation.   Important Point!  A clue to one's Soul may be acquired via one's faculty of "Intuition".

Your MIND was assigned to your Soul when your Soul first entered the Creation.  And do you know how many different life-forms your Soul has explored ... before becoming a human being?  Most people "think" that they only live once.  This idea is mistaken belief based on an incorrect interpretation of Hebrews 9;27.   "ONCE TO DIE" Each body one's Soul inhabits only lives once, that is true... but one's Soul does not die.

Each life-form a Soul explores on Earth is destined to die... but what dies is the life-form, not one's Soul.  One's Soul [with MIND attached] does not die, but is "processed" after death and all one's actions taken during the just completed lifetime of a Soul (regardless what kind of life-form one's Soul experienced) become part of one's "Non-conscious records" held "within" one's MIND.  These records then serve as a part of the design of one's next lifetime... in whatever  kind of life-form that life-form might be?

SO... any human being might have been an old person many times before?  And any race, gender, or one might have possessed many different kinds of talents or abilities?  Life is surprising, isn't it?

Short blog with a lot to ponder!  Peace, 1 Brother James

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Intellect & Knowledge?

Your intellect is your brain "thinking" what your MIND wants it to think.

Knowledge is as aspect of Consciousness, which is what your Soul KNOWS.

Intellect is a part of the Creation, and Knowledge is an aspect of Reality.

And Reality is another term for Neutral Spiritual Energy, or NSgy, or God.

Neutral Spiritual Energy... is my way of referring to the Energy of God, and the Energy of we Souls,  and the Energy of Existence before "Creation".  We are all aspects of God... but in various levels of "Awareness"... Or put another way... in various levels of "evolution".  Evolution is a process of maturation in which we Souls in the Creation are slowly exploring and experiencing the Creation.

The Whole Human Being:

#1 is the physical form with a brain. #2, #3, and #4 are the parts of Man that are Invisible to the brain. But these invisible parts are crucial elements of the Whole Human Being.  The fact that they are invisible to us is part of the  effectiveness of the Illusion of Creation.  We are convinced that the Illusion  is real.

Three parts of the Whole Human Being are INVISIBLE to our brain and physical senses.  This makes the term INVISIBLE a most important term in any attempt to understand the Whole of Man.

But inherent in the fact of "invisibility" is a reluctance of people to admit to an inability to perceive that which they are told exists... but to them, is most definitely invisible!

So,  how does one deal with that which is invisible?   The only way I know of after 50+ years of searching is to awaken one's faculty of "Intuition"... which I believe is an aspect of one's Soul and its Consciousness... the increase of which is a major purpose of we Souls being in the Creation... and the primary task of the Law of Karma [designed by God as part of the Creation].

Huh??   Much, well, most of the above has been known by highly evolved Mystics over many thousands of years.  Christ was one such Mystic.  The problem is... Reality can ONLY be KNOWN by an aspect of one's Soul I refer to as "Intuition," which is an aspect of Consciousness... which I believe is the Energy of one's Soul, and NSgy.

How does one access one's Intuition or Consciousness?  Well, I will attempt to explain that in my next  blog.

Peace, 1 Brother James

HOW OLD MUST ONE BE TO "SEE" EVIL?

ANSWER...

Actually, one's age in this life is not the issue.  No human being on Earth today is NEW to this Earth.   And how do I know this?  Because every human being on Earth today has slowly made his or her way to  birth as a  human being after first existing as a great many other life-forms.  This is the real meaning of the term "evolution".  One's Soul begins life in the lowest form of life, and then evolves into higher life-forms ... or at times can go backwards as well... depending upon how one uses the life-form one is born into?  To go backwards in one's evolution is called "Transmigration".  And it is a form of punishment that most Souls respond to positively.  It is also part of the Law of Karma, which is the Law of Creation, established by God... when the Creation was Created.

You see.... the Soul is immortal, and although the body in which it exists can die, your Soul does not die, but is Reincarnated into another life-form on Earth.

And all of this is explained in a book entitled "The Path of the Masters" by Julian Johnson, and it can be found in many libraries.

Just a quick note to those who might be curious about, life, death, and other Esoteric things?  One thing one learns as one's Soul matures is the term "Invisible".  Were you aware that three-quarters of the Whole of yourself are Invisible to your physical senses?  And the most important parts of yourself are invisible to your physical self.  Isn't it strange one can "think" about one's Soul, but one cannot see it with one's physical eyes?

Does Man have a form of sight that exists beyond his physical sight? More curious all the time.

REGARDING THE "LAW OF KARMA"...!

In the West, generally speaking... the Law of Karma is more often ignored than regarded seriously. I suspect the reason for this is because the Law of Karma was Created by God in relationship to the CREATION itself, and in the West [so that Intellectualism can operate as the "primary" "skill set" of Man...] that is,  the primary activity of Man is "thinking"... about life... while seeking to retain a higher position than other species of life.  This is how Man proves the human being is a higher life-force than other species of life.  And this "need" to be special on the part of Man is a natural expression of the Ego aspect of the MIND of Man.  It also reflects the fact that Mankind, as a whole, tends to ignore the fact that Man knows so little about the three-fourths of "LIFE" that are invisible to the physical senses of Man.

My sketch of "The Whole of Man" attempts to illustrate this point:

#1 circle represents the physical Man, which includes the brain with which Man thinks.  #2, #3, and #4 represent the realms of Man that are invisible to the brain and physical senses of Man. So, we human beings, since we are unable to "think" about what we cannot experience... except abstractly, we simply ignore #2, #3, and #4... which we believe are all invisible to Man.

And they are invisible to one's physical senses, however, Man also has a faculty of "Intuition"that I believe is an aspect of one's Consciousness... which is Knowledge or Wisdom.

The primary concepts we hold regarding Life... I believe...,  stem from the fact we limit ourselves to what our physical senses can perceive.  We therefore ignore the essential elements that comprise the "Whole" of Man... or #2, #3, and #4 of my sketch... which are invisible to our physical senses. How is it then that I can speak of the existence of #2, #3, and #4?

The answer is  that I have spent over 50 years searching for these parts of Man... and what I have discovered is illustrated in my sketch above. Number 2, 3 and 4 are all "Within" Man, but they consist of energies whose vibrations cannot be perceived by our physical senses... with one exception.

Within the substance of what we call Consciousness [which I believe is the Soul's "Awareness"].  That is... a Soul that has acquired an elevated level of "Intuition" by "Completing Karma"... has a subtle increase in what we refer to as "Intuition".  And if one's faculty of Intuition  is elevated... (or is Enlightened), then this level of Awareness is the natural consequence of one's Soul COMPLETING various bits of Karma [which is, by the way, a part of the Purpose of Life]... and what this does is this:results in a person possessing an elevated level of Intuition-- or an expanded level of Knowledge or Wisdom.

Think of the level of one's faculty of Intuition as a measure of Knowledge or Wisdom one's Soul has acquired by "Completing" Karma over many lifetimes.

How does one COMPLETE KARMA?   Well, that's a good question?  And the direct answer is this:  The way in which one's Soul COMPLETES an obligation of Karma is to do two things! 1. Fully "own" [take responsibility for] a bit of Karma one experiences, and to entirely FORGIVE those involved in that bit of Karma! This is difficult to do because one's MIND wants to blame others for every bit of Karma we experience. This is a very strong "habit" of the MIND.

And let us address speak to this aspect of Karma in our next blog.

For that matter... what is REALITY?

LET US BEGIN WITH A DISCUSSION OF WHAT MAKES TRUTH, AND REALITY,  SO DIFFICULT TO DISCOVER?

WE BEGIN BY EXPLAINING THAT BOTH ARE "INVISIBLE" TO THOSE PARTS OF MAN WE COMMONLY USE TO SEARCH FOR THEM!   I AM SPEAKING OF THE BRAIN AND ONE'S PHYSICAL SENSES, OF COURSE. Which serve us well to discover elements of the Creation...

The simple fact is... my sketch of The Whole of Man... explains the reason we are unable to find the Truth, or Reality.  That is, #2, #3, and #4 are all invisible to the brain and our physical senses.  And where they are is where we will find  the Soul, Truth, and Reality... and where is that?  It is the Pure Spiritual Realm, which is a realm entirely separate from the Creation and this physical plane.

The Whole of Man

The only parts of Man we can see and think about with our brain are those parts that are physical, tangible, and part of the Creation.... or are "abstract words or symbols" that we have created to "stand for" or "point to" that which we cannot actually see.

This  is a KEY BIT OF EXISTENCE... that Man has forgotten.  The fact that hidden "within" Man is the Pure Spiritual Energy of God in the form of a Soul... is something our linear brain cannot perceive, and cannot imagine. Let us say that we Souls are exploring the Creation, and our guide is the individual MIND that is attached to each Soul... and the MIND has [over a great many lifetimes] assumed the role of one's Ego-structure... and one's MIND [and the Karma (history and obligations) generated by one's Soul] is what keeps we Souls "stuck" in the Creation...and this situation is called "Transmigration" or Reincarnation.
And  this is what keeps we Souls stuck in the Creation.  This situation is well-known in the East, and essentially ignored in the West.

Now... isn't that something to ponder?   If one can ponder that which is invisible?

My own definition of Love... [slowly acquired over the last fifty years], is this: We Souls are naturally aspects of Love because we are aspects of God, and God is Pure Love; Pure Truth; and Pure Reality... and the entire Creation is a projection by God. The Creation is an Illusion... that we Souls believe is real.  Most people do not view the Creation as an Illusion, but rather believe that the Creation is absolutely "real". We Souls may not have known about the Creation prior to awakening to find ourselves a part of it? Nor would we realize that our Souls are quite "invisible" to [and separate from] the physical life form we presently find ourselves "within"?  No wonder no one has found the  Soul... it's invisible to our physical senses.

Yuga: Age or cycle of time.  According to Hindu scriptures, time is divided into four recurring yugas or cycles:  Satyug or Kritayug(the Age of Truth or the Golden Age), Tretayug (the Silver Age), Dwaparyug (the Copper or Bronze Age), and Kaliyug (the Dark or Iron Age). Kaliyug (the Dark or Iron Age is the present and last yuga of the cycle).

The above quote is from Mysticism The Spiritual Path, Auhor: Lekh Raj Puri.  Radha Soami Satsang Beas. First Edition, 1938.

Recall my sketch of the Whole Human Being:

#1 is the physical realm of Man, which includes the brain. And #2, #3, and #4 are all "invisible" to the normal brain of the normal person.  To gain awareness of one's Soul, one must put in a great deal of "special" meditation over a long period of time.  The Energy of the Soul is Pure Spiritual Energy, which means Love was a "natural" part of we Souls at one time.

My own definition of Love [slowly acquired over the last fifty years] is this: Love is the natural Energy of the Soul, since the Soul is an aspect of God, the Father.  But, between one's Soul and one's Love is one's MIND... which comprises what we refer to as one's "Ego".  We mistakenly believe that who we see in the mirror is who and what we are.  It is not who one is, it is the body one's Soul inhabits in this lifetime.  And we have lived many, many lifetimes... and as many different species.  And more on this general subject in my next blog.

DIFFICULT? HOW ABOUT IMPOSSIBLE... [without help?]

Simple question, right?  At least until we get serious about defining "Love," and what it really means... and where it comes from, and what it means exactly?

It is fairly easy to say the word "love".  As long as one is not asked to precisely define what one means by use of the word "love"!  How would you define it?  How does the dictionary define it?

From Webster's..."3. A strong liking or enthusiasm for something."

Enthusiasm?  Like most definitions, this one cannot let go of the need to restrict oneself to that which is physical, tangible, and safely tucked into one's store of abstract words from within one's brain and MIND.

Heaven forbid that one might suggest that Love springs from the Spiritual Dimension of oneself.  Spiritual Dimension?  We don't talk about some things because they are not clearly physical, tangible, and not likely to demand one "KNOW" something that isn't clearly physical.

Remember my sketch of the Whole Human Being...

For the most part, most dictionaries stop at the edge of that which is tangible and can be referred to by abstract words.

My sketch refers to #4, which is the Pure Spiritual Realm "within" Man... which is quite invisible to our physical senses... confined to #1, and the brain.

Love is to be found in the same place as that of TRUTH!  LOVE is the Energy of God. Just as Truth is the Energy of God... and the Energy of God is invisible to the physical Man.  And this suggests Man is other than just physical, doesn't it?

The blue line with  yellow end refers to the invisible in Man
.
So, how does one deal with the invisible "within" oneself?

Answer... one learns how to access the invisible part of oneself!

And this means one must discover how to withdraw one's Attention aspect of Consciousness from one's physical senses... and relocate it in one's Spiritual Dimension... which is the (actual) goal of Meditation. A goal  [by the way] very few people actually achieve while alive.

And... we will continue our discussion of Love tomorrow.

TODAY... LET US CONSIDER SOME ELEMENTS OF REALITY...

FOR INSTANCE... the terms Truth, Soul, Existence, Spirit [Spirituality], MIND, and God.  All of these terms are "abstract" terms in that we know the names and definitions for these terms, however...it is the truly rare individual who has  actually experienced the REALITY these terms stand for.

That is, to find an individual who has actually experienced what these abstract terms "stand for"!  In point of fact, the only people who have actually experienced all of what these terms stand for would be a Perfect Living Master... or someone like Christ, or one of many such Souls throughout history whose purpose for being on Earth was and has always been to draw to themselves specific Souls who God has determined are "ready" to begin their journey back Home to the Pure Spiritual Realm... which is a realm we refer to as God, or Reality, which means  the "Existence" of Reality... in a dimension that is entirely invisible to Man.

One such group of people would be those who have been Initiated into the Spiritual Path known as "Sant Mat"... or the" Path of the Saints" . The "Home" of this group is known as Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Or, Dera Baba Jaimal Singh.  Punjab 143204, India.

I first heard of this group in the early 1970's.  I was invited to attend a meeting of a group by a veteran-student of my acquaintance when I was teaching in a university in Illinois. I was not particularly impressed with that first meeting. but that young student also loaned me a book to read...and that book awakened from somewhere "Within" me a great longing to discover more about this organization. And that was how I came onto the Spiritual Path that I have followed for the last 50 plus years.

Some time ago I created the following illustration:

In this illustration I have introduced 4 circles. #1 is the physical dimension [or what Man can physically perceive]. #2 is the Astral Plane, or the Lower MIND. #3 is the CausalCausal Plane, or the Higher MIND. And #4 is the Pure Spiritual Realm, or what we refer to as God... and the Home of each Soul...who is in a life-form on Earth.

The only realm the physical senses of Man can perceive is #1, the physical realm  of the Creation. #2, 3, and 4, are all invisible to the physical senses of Man.  However, Man is unique because only in Man can a Soul discover the otherwise invisible dimensions which make-up the Whole Human Being. And that will be the subject of our next blog.

WHAT IS TRUTH ... and can one ever discover it?

That is... what is the purpose of life?  I ask this because I believe I recently awakened to what I believe is a glimpse of what the Purpose of Life is... and what I experienced was really strange.

Would you believe that the purpose of life is to explore and experience what life is?  ...for we Souls who are in the midst of fulfilling that "Purpose"!  That is... what we know of as "life"...  is an exploration of all the physical plane ingredients by which we Souls are discovering [literally discovering by living in]... what Creation is for... which is to "help we Souls "learn" what being on Earth... [ in the Creation]  is all about... in order to awaken to an understanding of what physical phenomena is, can do,  become, and how it differs from "Spiritual Reality"... which for me is something that "does not change"... ever.

Why would we Souls "need to" be on Earth to "learn" what the Purpose of Life is?  Because life on Earth is nothing like who and what we Souls are.  Take for example, the term "Truth".  Why is it that no one seems to know what the Truth is?  And yet, every Soul is entirely composed of Truth.  Find that hard to believe?  I know it seems most unlikely... but it is nonetheless the Truth... in so far as I can discover.

I have referred to the Energy of the Soul as "NSgy," or Neutral Spiritual Energy, for quite some time, and the reason I do so is that many years ago I realized that each Soul is an aspect of God, and the Energy of God seemed to me to be an Absolute Energy.  And by "Absolute" I mean an Energy that never changes.  Which is how I define  the terms Truth, and Reality.  So, what is Truth... that does not change?

Webster's New Dictionary defines Truth as:   1.Conformity to knowledge, fact, actuality, or logic. 2. Fidelity to an original or standard. 3. Reality; actuality.

Personally, I define Truth as Permanent and unchanging... which for me is not unlike Reality, as opposed to the Illusion of the Creation, which is constantly changing.  So, I believe we Souls  are aspects of God, whom I believe is Absolute Truth, Reality, and Love.  But on Earth, we Souls are very much operated by the MIND that is attached to every Soul in the Creation... which enables the Soul to explore and experience the Creation.  For the purpose of "learning" what life on Earth can teach we Souls about the physical plane of existence.  Which is fairly negative, isn't it?  That is, life absent the Reality of the Pure Spiritual Dimension of existence... which most Souls on Earth have forgotten a long time ago. And if it were not for special Souls like Jesus, and various Saints and Mystics,  we Souls would be up a creek without a paddle!

That's  a snapshot of what exists on Earth.  What this particular blog hopes to do is to attempt an explanation of what is "mystically" taking place within we Souls presently on Earth.  "The Purpose of life, in other words,"is not easily discovered by simply observing life on Earth.

Consider the idea that several parts of yourself are not physical!

If not physical, what would they be... invisible? Yes, as a matter of fact!  And the brain simply cannot study what it cannot "natural...
